El álbum fue lanzado el 21 de noviembre del 2011 y los géneros que tiene este álbum son Rock Alternativo, Post-Grunge, Hard Rock y Heavy metal. Todo el disco dura exactamente 39:42 minutos. 

La banda liderada por Chad Kroeger presenta su nuevo trabajo musical 'Here and Now'. El disco fue grabado en los estudios Mountain View de Vancouver y el primer single se titula 'When We Stand Together', una canción con el sonido clásico de Nickelback, que cuenta con una letra muy social, y que además está dentro las más sonadas en las radios americanas.

Séptimo disco de estos canadienses que, desde que en 1996 editaran su primer trabajo, han vendido 55 millones de discos en todo el mundo. Después de 16 años de carrera se puede decir que es la banda de modern rock que mejor esta aguantando en el candelero y contando sus giras como éxitos.

 Inexplicablemente, como siempre les ha ocurrido a otras grandes bandas de rock este Dark Horse también fue objeto de criticas esta vez por el giro hacia temas más melódicos. Pues bien parece que Chad Kroeger también ha reaccionado a estas críticas componiendo los temas más duros de su carrera. De hecho en este “Here and Now” vuelven con un hard rock super-contundente que callará la boca a los que osaron criticar su trabajo con Mutt Lange. Aunque tampoco nos tenemos que preocupar los que también reclamamos más melodía a los Nickelback, de esto también hay en este nuevo trabajo.

En definitiva, de alguna manera han querido contentar a esos fans que demandaban la vuelta del lado más agresivo de la banda y no se han olvidado de seguir mirando siempre hacia delante. En ese sentido siguen los pasos de su grandioso Dark Horse. NO tengo ninguna duda que este Here And Now les garantiza seguir siendo referencia en su estilo y demostrar una vez más que no estan 16 años en lo más alto por casualidad.
